The HS cross country team traveled to LaCygne today. In JV girls action Rees Chapman scored an 8th place medal with a time of 31:58.85. Congrats!
The JH volleyball ‘A’ team played Marmaton Valley tonight. No scores were available, but unfortunately they fell in straight sets.
In JH football tonight the Blu-Jays traveled to Moran to take on Marmaton Valley. After a rough first half and trailing 30-6, the boys came storming back to make an exciting game of it. Unfortunately, they came out on the short side of a 38-32 score. Great second half effort!
The Lady Blu-Jays visited LaCygne tonight for a volleyball dual with Prairie View. The JV played hard but came up short by scores of 11-25 and 18-25. The varsity played better as the night wore on but also fell by scores of 6-25, 14-25, and 18-25.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Pleasanton will not be playing any B games in JH volleyball at Moran tonight when they play Marmaton Valley.

In varsity volleyball action tonight the Blu-jays took on St. Paul and Uniontown in home tri. The first match saw Pleasanton lose in two sets by scores of 18-25, 13-25. However, the girls played well in their second match and beat Uniontown by scores of 25-13 and 25-9.
The JV volleyball girls took on the St. Paul Indians tonight at home. The girls put forth a good effort but fell in straight sets by scores of 11-25 and 13-25.
The 7th grade JH volleyball Blu-Jays played in the Southeast Cherokee Tournament today. They lost to Meadowview by scores of 9-25, and 16-25. Their final match was a loss to Southeast by scores of 14-25 and 19-25.
Lady Blu-Jays conclude the Humboldt Tournament with a loss to Waverly by scores of 25-23 and 25-16.
The Lady Blu-Jays pull the win over Altoona in their third game of the Humboldt Tournament by scores of 25-13 and 25-19.
The Lady Blu-Jays fall to Central Heights in their second match of the day by scores of 20-25 and 17-25.
PSA: If you plan to play basketball this year, information says that basketball shoes will really go up in price as the season gets closer due to shoe manufacturing companies being behind overseas. You may want to buy them early this year.
The varsity Lady Blu-Jays fall to Humboldt in two sets in the first match of the Humboldt Volleyball Tournament.
Varsity football visited Uniontown tonight. The boys fought hard throughout the game but came up on the short end of a 30-6 score.
'Pink Out' to support cancer awareness will be on Tuesday, Sept. 21 when Pleasanton hosts Uniontown and St. Paul in Varsity/JV volleyball. All fans are encouraged to wear pink at the game.
SCHEDULE CHANGE:
Due to illness and injuries, the JV home football game on Monday, Sept. 20 vs Uniontown has been cancelled.
Just a heads-up, but HS volleyball Senior Night will be on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
